What Does God say about…Unanswered Prayer??
Christians know that God is everywhere at all times, but question him when their prayers and hopes are not answered. Scriptures such as “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24), make promises that seem hopeless, then we start to question our faith or feel as though God is ignoring us. Jesus tells us that whatever we ask for in prayer, we must believe that we will receive it! This is where our faith comes in to play. Jesus wants us to exercise the parts of our faith that we are lacking in. Prayer is an interaction within a relationship, not some sort of service transaction between you and God. Over and over Christ promises us that whatever we ask for, according to His will, is ours. God’s timing does not revolve around man, as an omniscient being (all knowing), He is in control of every substance of your life. Therefore, just because you have prayed for something and it did not happen, does not mean it WON’T happen. Luke 18:1 says to keep praying and don’t give up!
