The Women’s Ministry Council at Shiloh invite you to a business development workshop that will take place at Shiloh on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., themed “Business in the 21st Century.” It’s free to all who wish to attend! Our central verse and supporting scripture are Luke 19:13 ESV. The theme supports part of our mission to be like Jesus in terms of our stewardship. Our overall mission is to provide practical instruction for starting and running your own businesses, to share success stories of current and past business owners, and to address possible pitfalls that can occur when running your own business.

This conference will include a panel discussion of local business owners who will share their personal experiences with starting and running their own business. Our featured speaker for the afternoon will be Ms. Monique Greenwood, owner and proprietor of Akwaaba Bread and Breakfast Inns. A renowned entrepreneur, Ms. Greenwood is also the former Editor-in-Chief of Essence magazine, an accomplished author of several books, and the co-founder of “Go on Girl!” which is the largest African American book club in the United States. Ms. Greenwood will share “real talk” about the need for more small business owners, especially within the church community.
